Some of the best bud ive ever smoked has been airy and i’ll die on that hill
I don’t personally have a problem with airy buds. It’s the uninitiated, rock hard, machine trimmed, dispo, “this is pre-me”, looking for the hype du jour crowd.
I still dip steak in ketchup sometimes, but that’s because I like ketchup and someone ruined the steak. I can empathize with their starting position.

I chose Chocolate Trip over Chocolate Diesel when buying seeds. I couldn't afford both 🤣. Diesel is out there. I wanted something with a different high. Sounds Like Chocolate Trip F-3 has what I was hoping for.

I can attest to that too, light airy buds being killer. I only experienced this weed once, back in 85,a friend grew something outdoors, it was light lime green, extremely airy, looked esthetically shitty,or you'd expect it to be..I was walking home at night, and recall the best cerebral experience, looking up at the stars, cutting through a scenic woodsy walk home..never forgot that 1 experience..wish I had a clue what it was.

They never get tight and hard, but there were definitely phenos with nice bud structure and I suspect they won't be as susceptible to mold.
Your suspicions are contrary to my current experience. They will mold in the right/wrong conditions. 🥲

I'm planning a bunch of Trip crosses. I've had it in my head for years that the CT was the ingredient that made GG4 special and a standout among other great strains

Are you planning on trying to bred the parents of G.G. to see if it can be remade on purpose?

Chocolate Trip would be a good plant to do both ways. Regular and feminized hybrids. That way you could please both crowds.

Stoney hit me up with that idea a while back. Seemed like an awful lot of work to recreate something that's already really good. Rather, I would like to explore my theory on the Trip and see if it can be used to make some other outstanding hybrids like the Chocolate Diesel
