Random Strains

I have been busy lately. No time for updates. Things are going great in the random strain grow. They are 2 weeks into flower already and stretch is about done. a Og Kush clone has crazy stretch and is now the tallest plant in the grow. This will be the first time I get to see how Og Kush smokes.

After stretch started. I had to move the plants to the other side of the big tent. It has 2 lights that I can adjust separately. I have 7 tall plants under 1 light and 8 females under the Short side.

Here is how they looked last night.

been very busy myself but try to make time to see all the new fire people are making - this one deff is looking really nice , hope to know how she turns out , always like a NICE og haha - also did you ever have any purple-ing of flower and or esp leaves - the "godfather" cut i had - significant purple and somehow partial leaf on the "Best" of them - saw it on the cut of yours sam is growing too idk what to call that "partial purple" trait but i have only seen it on like the most fire, something to look into at least id say? -

The mother plants I have show all kinds of different colors.

I have seen reds purples blues and of course JLBIRDS Jealousy x ICR hybrid that came in black.

These should mostly be green I expect. The Mazar crosses have potential for color. I have been told that Mazar I Sharif was one of the original purple afghani strains.

AH! - MAZAR is DEFF in sr-71, after selecting diff clones i realized it has a very very subtle skunky taste (MAZAR)- i read its skunk#1 worked into a cut of afghani and it is quite a powerful cut imo, i remember las vegas purple kush is part of the godfather og cut , that was the "special purpling ive been looking for" , it also seemes to be QUITE narcotic - DARKSTAR, one of my favorite strains i ever had the pleasure of smoking, is mazar heavy - so thank you , i can see now a trait and link (while its not the only purple strain THAT SPECIFIC purple - is great (i can know its gunna be a heavy narcotic smoke (ik color doesn't affect potency but can be an indicator of a mazar heavier/dominant strain and the few i have had are all amazing)

you also mentioned BLACK hairs , i have heard legands and wonder like wtf is up with those - had one odd strain that was blue+yellow and i think even a lil reddish pink - looked pretty as hell lol, but i usually find strains have dark/bright orange or red hairs
gave me something to look into for sure with: JLBIRDS Jealousy x ICR hybrid - ahah damnnnn that is something!!

-oooooh- yeah big diff, i noticed black.purpled buds on one GG4 of the "good batch" - was way more fire too now that i remember- , "grapefruit"! - was the name of the cut and it had a blueberry and like sour fruit smell- i got ONE plant, that did a few buds with clearly pink hair but i like ofc smoked it before like doccumenting was so excited, -ftr has ZERO effect on potency, like bag appeal is MAD, but i didn't notice anything diff with that one memorable ofc, - i remeber i also had her in much colder temps vegging in an open room at that (so like 58-63 lights ON) - ik cold will cause purpling , and really i feel again its more bag appeal - the "Special partial leaf purpling" (octang and in my og wtf is it thread lol - those plants have a UNIQUE ass purple ive only seen a few times - each plant a BANGER even compared to another of the same conditions and batch, so like idk if i ever see it like thats my "girl" - ir is really interesting with SR-71 , usually early veg the leaves tend to just hulk on a few sets and lateral growth slows to a spidercrawl (3000k high IR cmh) - , but like have to update that thread- i mean easily can have a tent full of it in no time with just some clippings and a cmh, ik i always tend to go on haha but so much love for this strain, ive always ran her along so many other cuts and shes never dissapointed - first run of it under uv.cmh+hlg - fuuuck best buds ive done yet for sure, really awesome how even after years she can suprise the shit out of me in a new/better setup like so much "potential" in her tho, always been my goto for just ease of growing and good effects for ptsd especially as well.

Everything is going along great. It seems the new lights worked out better than I thought. The space between the 2 gives me a spot to put this stretchy ass Og Kush

Airborne G-13 is the new star I get to look at this grow. The 2 plants look pretty much the same. One was a bit larger when they rooted. I got pictures of the short plant just because it is easier to move

One plant is getting a lot of my attention. To the point I took a bunch of clones to try and get a mother. When I was watering it a few days ago, the smell jumped right out at me. It is the first plant to show any smell other than normal. I can't put a name to it yet but it is on the dank and nasty side so far.

Internode spacing is really good too. Hopefully this will make some nice buds.

No pictures today. I do have some updates.

UK Cheese is a clone I got from getseedsrightthere or I think that was the place. I paid 100.00 for it. I didn't expect much, I did need plants to grow. Now 2 1/2 weeks into flower and that UK Cheese is starting to impress me. It is supposed to be the Exodus cut. That is why I bought it. The plant I got stretched as much as the Jack Herer next to it. The Exodus Cheese I grew out were all short. I was sure this cut was a bust. I could be changing my mind soon about that. UK Cheese is the first plant to show frost. It and my Mac Junky are showing good frost already. I knew the Mac Junky would do it. I was floored to see the UK Cheese do it.

I also have new news on the Genius hybrid. I forgot what the Hash Plant it was crossed too. Rick informed me it was Skelly Hash Plant, also known as Puck. Skelly Hash Plant is a name I have never heard before. I have heard of hybrids with the Puck name in them. I just grew out Airborne Genius and loved it, these strains should be similar. Hopefully it will be different enough to matter.

Here are some pictures of the plants I discussed yesterday. First up is the UK Cheese cut. Here it is next to the Jack Herer. They both look exactly the same so far.

The frost is already showing up, not sure what that means. Sure can't hurt LOL.

Next up is the Genius x Puck. It doesn't look like much right now. I had already cut it back for flower when I decided to keep cuts. I had to take 5 branches off just to be sure I got one clone.

Internode spacing is great on it. Nor sure how it will bud yet. From the looks of it now the buds should fill out nicely.

Finally I wanted to show the stretch difference between Double Dose and Og Kush. Og has out grown everything by at least a foot.

Airborne G-13 is up today.

Everything is going great with this plant. Frost levels are ramping up now. I have grown out 2 of Grimms G-13 hybrids. Killer Queen and Genius G-13, the both had similar smells as the G-13. Both ended up with great flavor. Best I can compare it to is all the other sweet smelling afghani from back in the day.

Mac Junky @ 3 weeks

Plant structure and growth rates are the reason I am not keeping a clone of this plant. It would be great grown with netting so it could spread out. It doesn't grow up very well. It does grow ok. All the energy goes into side branching. I have tried to train it better and have failed. She is plenty frosty and the effects are strong as hell. If it were not for the growth thing Mac Junky would have been a keeper.

I have high hopes for Katsu's Suicide Blonde project. It is supposed to be real cheesy. The Cheese cut I have is already smelling a bit dank.

I am beginning to wonder about the Jack Herer. Both it and the UK Cheese still look exactly alike. I think they even smell the same at this point. Better to have 2 cheese than one of each is my thinking. We will see how they shape up in another week.

This is going to be my continuing grow thread. I might as well add in the other tents. Here is a small test project I have going.

There are 3 Frosted Enigma, 1 Kushy Payton, 1 Medicine Bear, 3 Blue Fire in this tent under a 600 watt HPS

Everything is going as well as can be expected. The random strain grow is flowering away. Great pictures are there for the taking. I need to change up how I do pictures so it is going to be a few days before I post any new pics.

Hopefully I don't screw things up too bad in the next couple weeks. There are some neat things going on. Everything smells.

1 Purple Afghani smells good. The other one smells great. Hopefully that is the one I have the clone of. Frost is just starting to be visible.

Frosted Enigma started slow them Bam, covered in frost.

Og Kush is doing amazing. I hope I can keep this plant happy through flower. I have never had True Og Kush.

Durban Mazar clones both smell already. Not sure what it will smell like at the end. It is a cross of sweet Afghani smell, with a underlying dank nasty side.

Lots of terpenes in this grow. I don't remember a time when all the plants had strong smell at this stage.

The big tent grew a lot yesterday. I am running my big tent in 2 grows 3 weeks apart to give me trimming time. All the plants are small so there is more than normal. I added 22 plants last night.

I added Mac1 Cap Junky and Black Cherry Gelato. The Black Cherry Gelato was supposed to be the star in the show this grow. They showed up 2 weeks late, they are a bit behind the others. Since there were lots of short plants I decided to do a few extra. With 14 plants on the other side. Night time watering just became a chore. Normally I run 32 plants with the tent full. I have 36 this time.

I do have a small tent that I can put into service if I need too. It can handle 4 of these short plants easily. I will see how things go.

By the time I get my camera and start posting pictures again. The first half of the tent is going to look great. I hope anyway. Transition between veg and flower nutrients is one place I have trouble. I am 3 weeks in and still running veg. I always jump the gun with flower nutrients. So much is going on in the first 3 weeks I always convince myself to add flower nuits too early. I am going to try and hold out until week 5, then I am going to pour it to them.

I got in the habit of giving a plant nutrients before they needed it. In my other house things were cold and the plants didn't drink very fast. I was watering about once a week. If I missed a feeding. They plants had hell for a whole week. With LED lights and warmer temps. My plants want water every 3 days or so. I am going to wait and watch the leaves this time. Once they start acting up I will add flower nutrients. With only 3 days involved they won't be without food for long.

" . The 2 plants look pretty much the same. " = the boarder hash plant - heavy in that G-13 and the OG , makes for VIGOURUS fat flowering -they expolode on the SR after midway flower lol, love this strain as it basically just seems to enchace TF out of every other cut eg the triangle in OG , or worked g-13 is an example of it banging hard on its own right, - damn shame it is not more around and pure at that , seems like the PERFECT breeding plant :D

-great looking laides in all the pics went thru the next page as well haha, - that HPS is that a cool tube or like , the kind of fixture- looks really easy too supp light in the winter with tucked away, was almost thinking of adding one as even a ceramic and qbs dont raise temps (to their credit it is below freezing haha, i may be one of the few to still consider something like that hps wise (and or convert to ceramic with diff ballast) - i really like that tube design it is super damn nice looking and compact in the tent

It is a air cooled fixture, in the summer you can hook it up to the charcoal filter and cool the light as you extract air. There was a time 600 watt HPS was the most efficient light to run. Especially in tents. I have run 1000 watt HPS in a 4 x 4 tent before. I couldn't grow in the summer then.

They are a great light. Paired with Hortilux bulbs you can grow some great weed.
