What's the strongest weed you've ever smoked?

I'm not talking about test numbers - I'm talking about effects. What shit got you SO high that it stood head and shoulders above everything else? Racing Sativa, Narcotic Indica, Happy Hybrid. What really rung your bell and left a lasting memory?

I'll start with Northern Lights from the 90's. Blissfully narcotic, able to cut through EVERYTHING ELSE after an entire day of nonstop smoking.
 
I got a sevens of Chocolope back in the day that knocked my wife, best friend, and myself, into a sativa daze where we ended up just trying to get the other to tap out from punching eachother in the arm...

ive never had a high like it since haha
 
I'm not sucking up here. The 85 day Finish Move I just grew is some of the strongest weed, effects wise that I have smoked. At night it puts the lights out like nothing I have grown before. Daytime it is laid back with a smile on your face. Smile? Shit eating grin? one of those LOL.

I have to include Hawaiian. When I was younger, living in Oregon. A old hippie picked me up hitch hiking. He had a pen joint of a menthol tasting Hawaiian that was incredible. So much so I remember everything about it to this day. I was a experienced smoker than so it wasn't a newbie thing. The high lasted for hours, still the menthol flavor is what stood out to me. Best high and flavor of any strain I have tried.
 
The original Amnesia from around 2001 and Alaskan Ice from Greenhouse Seeds around 2009.
Hands down these two were the first two that pop into my head when I think of exceptionally strong weed. Great taste and absolutely debilitating.
 
Years ago around 2001. I helped a friend set up his first grow. A small hydro and he did Dutch passions power plant.
I did a joint and after about a quarter of the joint I could fill the effects rising up from me toes to me head.

Around 2001-2002 I smoked the original Luton cheese aka exodus cheese before I grew it a few months later.
The first time I was given a few nugs , from what I remember I smoked the first and felt so monged with a high that just made you want to roll another joint but everything has to be near and with in arms length as doing anything physical is well out of the question.
 
I just confirmed Fritter Bomb was one of the strongest Katsu strains I have grown. Even 2 or 3 years old out of the freezer it still kicked my ass.

One more to note is Space Fuel. The best plant I had was like coffee. It would wake you up no matter what you were smoking. I have yet to find anything that does the job like Space Fuel did
 
Growing up in Oklahoma in the 70's and 80's I mainly saw brick weed. I went to Amsterdam several times in 1991. We bought everything we could the first time, then mainly a ton of NL#5 or crosses with NL#5. Not sure if it was really the strongest, or just seems that way because it was probably the first properly grown and cured smoke I ever had.
 
had a friend get us a bag of something called NL5 super super intense psychadellic , special bags of og kush p2014 - "darkstar" , purple kush first stuff i got the "strain name" of, bags of it all over in 2010, amazing stuff never disappointment, -panama red bag was some of the best sativa ive had , hawaiian (assume African hierloomed) was really good around 2010-2011 that bag got like 4-5 people all the way out with a gram rolled up, - ofc gorilla glue was a banger, blueberry kush , one of the first bags after purple kush was "sour diesel" - well everyone knows it but whatever cut it was holy fuck one hitter quitter, could never finish a bowl of it even and stunk so bad i litterally buired it sealed underground a bit lol, had a lot of good stuff in 2010-2013 , 2015 stuff could be got but harder and hit or miss, by 2019 i couldn't get a good zip to save my life lol idk what happened but like it may have cost a BIT more sure, but when you get a gram that last days and a 1/ 8th that lasts like a week, lol stuff so strong you have to put it out lol, and like i always remember something if it had an exceptional effect and taste those by far stand out , also of course bubba kush hands down most narcotic strain ive ever had lol it was a p-98 cut , not just sedating but just NARCOTIC effects haha, now i try to source down my favorites i remember and recreate them if i can

it's a White Fire x Oaxacan/Mullum fem-cross, made by australian friends.

i kept a pheno and called it "mandrake" ...
you smokke that stuff and wake up later asking "wtf happened", lol.
 
In have a lot of Oaxacan genetics in my older genetics. It used to show up in Oregon when I was a kid. It was some of the first Special weed I got to smoke. It was the first weed I got that wasn't smashed to shit. I don't know if it was the strongest, it was some of the most fun weed I have smoked.

Smash weed had it's appeal. I remember going through the bricks looking buds that looked special.

Like you said, a lot happens to that weed before it ever got to us. THC degrading and turning into other things. Lots of stuff that fresh weed will never be able to copy. That si why I try and explain to people. That great weed you had a s a kid is still around. It has just changed. Fresh Mexican weed is a whole different thing than smash weed. Even when they come from the same regions.
 
I have heard horror stories about the hash the were distributing in the UK back then. They were mixing all kinds of stuff in it to spread it out.

You also mentioned Jamaican Smash weed. Some of the best weed I have ever smoked was a rusty red colored smash weed from Jamaica. I smoked hald=f a joint witht he lady that dropped it off. I was supposed to be headed to meet friends. After a hour, I found myself with one sock on, the other half a joint in my hand staring at the TV. Some of the euphoric weed I have ever had.
 
I got some Colombian that was only a bunch of long skinny buds. It wasn't even squished much. The lady I got it from used to get some incredible import weed. Same lady scored a couple batches of Jamaican. I think I mentioned the red brick weed Jamaican.

The Columbian tasted like no other weed I had smoked before. It had more of the natural terpenes showing through and didn't have the brick weed smell. I never got any more of it from anywhere else. I sure wish I knew how that woman was getting such great imports into Wyoming
